Update on My Friend Heather
I had asked for prayers in this post for my friend Heather. Just a quick update, she let me know yesterday all is going well. The smaller of the twins gained 3oz. and the larger twin gained 1oz. they show plenty of fluid. She also said the doctor didn't see any signs of long term damage. It seems right now as if the surgery did exactly what it should have done, and the twins are doing well. Praise the Lord!!!! Please keep praying for this family.

DOCTOR'S APPT 36W 5D
Went to the doctor this morning. Still only 1cm. Head down. Sonogram showed she is 7lbs and 14oz. I pray she is a little off. She will be around 8 1/2 lbs if she is right. Still have to get baskets for storage for her room, a diaper caddy, and still have some of her clothes to be washed before she gets here. I have my bags packed and waiting. Just keeping my hair dryer and make-up out for every day uses. My best friends mom gave me the wreath for the door this weekend, and it is very cute I might add. Also, Nichole made me the cutest burp cloths and bibs and diaper bag from their business Lady Bugs and Lassos (click the link on my side bar, they have great stuff). I have pictures from the shower at Nichole's house this weekend, but I didn't bring my camera to upload them....hopefully soon. I am so behind on posting pictures. Sorry.

Short Update
We should have a baby in less than two weeks. They are going to schedule an induction to make sure my husband can be there (his job isn't very flexable for surprises). I am already at 1 cm, and the baby is very low. If you want to know the truth about it I am very miserable at this point (thus the reason for no heart felt blogging these days). I am exhausted and not sleeping well, but there is an end in sight, and wonderful end I might add. I am working shortened hours, and honestly wish I could just start maternity leave NOW...I am soooooo tired. She should be here in time for Christmas, so I bought her a stocking, and am searching for a Christmas Dress for picutres. All in all things are great, I just feel VERY pregnant.
Also, I have a friend who is pregnant with twins. They were diagnosed with Twin to Twin Transfusion. I am not sure of the specifics of the disease, I am going to have to research it a little better. She left for Texas yesterday to have a corrective surgery, and the babies did great. From what I understand they will have an excellent chance for survival pending what happens over the next week. Basically I want to ask you all to pray for my friend and her babies for healing for the twins and peace for my friend, I can't even imagine what she is going through. Her name is also Heather.

Still Here
Hi guys! Just a quick note to let you all know I am still here (if I still have any readers). The pregnancy is going great. I will be 35 weeks tomorrow, can you believe it!! I have the first of my weekly doctors appointments next week. I can't beleive how close Maci is to being here. I am also a little freaked out and EXTREMELY busy at work trying to get everything ready to leave on maternity. I do have some shower pictures to post and her room to reveal, I just haven't had a spare second to upload the picutres. I hope to get them uploaded and posted atleast by this weekend. Just wanted to let everyone know I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth, and I hope you are all doing well.

Very Scary Day
We had a little scare yesterday. Little missy decided to take a really long, really still nap on me. Didn't move a muscle from the time I woke up at 6:00am until after 1:00pm. I freaked!!! I did everything I knew to do, I drank a sugary cold drink, I ate, and laid on my side (sort of, in a recliner on our showroom floor)...I poked, and rubbed, and shook my belly trying to make her move....NOTHING!! I went to the doctor at 1:00 on the verge of a panic attack, and they hooked me up to the fetal monitors! Her heart was beating away just fine, and about 15 minutes in to them placing the little-tiny-not-heavy-at-all monitors on my stomach that weren't nearly as aggrivating as what I had been doing to my belly all moring, she started trying to kick them off, like they were bothering her...FIGURES!!! But thats ok, I was so glad she was kicking at them, all I could do was laugh. She even had the hiccups for a little while, and I could hear them on the monitor, so that was very neat. I was just glad everything was ok. Now I am counting kicks twice a day and keeping records of them on a sheet the doctor gave me, but everything is great!! I can't wait until this little girl gets here!! Less than 7 weeks until my due date!!

1 year ago today, I started this blog. It was my outlet to scream, or cry or to remind myself that God is still there even when I can't feel him.
I lost our first baby 1 year ago on October 1, 2008. Now a little over a year later, our 2nd child is about 2 months away (give or take) from arriving in this world! It's amazing what changes a year can bring, and how quickly it can pass. I never thought I would make it to this point! The past year seems as if everything that can go wrong has gone wrong (and still continues to go wrong to a point) but in the midst of it all, no matter how alone I may feel, God has always been there, and will continue to be there, of this I am sure.
"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." ~ Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NIV)

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Rememberance Day
Today I remember my baby that I lost last year, October 1, 2008.
I still believe...
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139 13:14)
I don't understand why these things happen, and I know I never will. I don't have anything really profound to say, and it's really for me to think about. Last year was a bad year for me. I am just asking you to take some time today to pray for anyone you know that has a baby living with Jesus rather than with them.

Quick Update
My sister in law had her baby girl yesterday. Both mother and baby are doing great! Jaycee Leigh Allen was born on October 6, 2009 weighing 6 lbs 2 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.
A quick prayer request. A friend from high school had her twins this week, she was (I think) a week ahead of me or a week behind me, not sure exactly. The boys are WAY early, and each weighing only around 2lbs. They are having lots of medical intervention, but given the circumstances they are doing well. Please pray for my friend and her new baby boys.
Also, my sister is due at the end of this month. I can't wait to meet baby Harvest. Please pray for her to have a quick and easy labor and delivery when it comes time.
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday as well, everything is fine...other than the fact that I had to sit there until 4:00 before ever being called back to a room when my appointment was at 2:45. It was understandable yesterday though, my doctor was called away to do an emergency C-Section and was running behind. It wouldn't have been so bad if it didn't seem to happen that way EVERY time I have an appointment.

It's been a while...
I know it's been a while since I have posted! I am really neglecting this blog and it bothers me a little. There are so many things going on in my world and I haven't quite figured out how to put them all into words without sounding like I am whining, so I have remained silent on most of them.
Everything with baby Maci is fine, and the pregnancy is going well. I am now on the every 2 weeks schedule with my doctor, and time is flying and creeping by all at the same time. Aside from the normal swollen feet, aching back, and reflux that keeps me up all night I really feel great, I love being pregnant. Baby girl is doing well, and I can even see her wiggling around now. It's the coolest thing to watch my stomach jump around and roll when she moves. I will have to work on another belly picture soon (probably minus my head, I hate the way my face looks right now)!
Just thought I would drop in to let anyone who might still be reading know that I am still here, and the pregnancy is going great.

Dirt Cake
Just as a side note before we get to the recipe my sister sent me, I am having a 4-D sonogram Thursday afternoon. I will post pictures as soon as I can.
Now, back to you regularly scheduled
You will need:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
2 packages instant vanilla pudding mix
3 1/2 cups milk
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 pack Oreos
Crush Oreo cookies into pieces and keep to the side.
Mix butter, cream cheese, and sugar together in a small bowl.
In a large bowl mix milk and pudding.
After pudding and milk is mixed, fold in the whipped topping.
Combine pudding mixture and cream cheese mixture together.
Layer in a trifle bowl, starting with cookies then the pudding mixture. Continue to layer ending with crushed Oreos as the top layer.
Chill until ready to serve (at least 1 hour).

How Rude!
The most aggravating thing to me is when someone comes to my desk, then backs up two steps and says “Don’t get close to me, I have (fill in the sickness)” If you are sick, and you are going to touch things around the office (or wherever) your germs are still there when I touch that door or faucet or whatever after you! If you are coughing all over the place, the fact that you aren’t breathing directly into my face is not going to keep your germs off of me. If you are sick, don’t come near me, don’t come to my desk to tell me you are sick and for pitty-sake, do not think, for one second, you should touch anything on my desk. Do not cough into your hand and then use the SAME hand to pick-up something you are going to hand to me! Please just stay home if you are sick. I am pregnant, and my immune system isn’t where it should be right now. It is very dangerous for me to get sick, it could mean life and death for me and my child in some cases. What may seem like a harmless sickness to you simply isn’t harmless to others with lowered immunities or to those of us who have much more to loose than a few hours of work.
Wash your hands, and try to stay well....no matter how hard the inconsiderate people make it!!
And while I am on my "soap" box so to speak, check out this post by Ellen at Profoundly Seth...I have got to get one of these signs before little Maci gets here (and yes, I am going to be one of "those" mothers I am afraid)
