Easy-Peasy Fried Dessert

You will need:

1 Can of Biscuits (not flaky)
1 Can of Pie Filling (Your Choice, I like Apple or Peach)
Confectioners Sugar or Cinnamon
Oil for Fry Daddy (Deep Fryer)

While heating the oil in the Deep Fryer:
Flatten out the biscuit
Spoon a teaspoon of pie filling into the biscuit center
Fold biscuit over (makes a little pocket with pie filling in the center)
Press edges of biscuit together with a Fork to “close” the pocket
Drop into deep fryer
Brown on both sides (does not take long)

Note: When it floats you will need to flip it over to brown the top side

When you take these out of the Fryer Sprinkle with Confectioners Sugar or Cinnamon!

Note: I like to Sprinkle the Apple filling ones with Cinammon and the Peach filling ones with the confectioners sugar, but it's just a matter of your taste

Serve Warm!

Not Me! Monday ~ Stellan Style

Natalie has given us yet another outlet to let MckMama know exactly how much she and her family are loved and are in our thoughts and prayers with her Not Me! Monday ~ Stellan Style.

I have not told everyone I know about Stellan's story, and then explain why he needs prayer so urgently right now.

I did not keep MckMama's website up on my computer at work all week last week, refreshing like mad to find out anything new she had to say.

I did not update my facebook status constantly to state that I am "praying for stellan" and then give MckMama's blog address for anyone who wants to know about this little miracle.

I did not sign up for a Twitter account, only so I could follow MckMama's updates about Stellan over the weekend on my cell phone while I was away from my computer.

My husband does not think I am insane because I feel like I have such a connection to people I have never met.

I did not sit in an awesome worship service Sunday at church, and cry out for Stellan's healing while worshiping our wonderful Saviour.

I did not see little Stellan's face in my mind as the worship team sang Mighty to Save, the words "Shine you light and let the whole world see, we're singing for the Glory of the Risen King" didn't make me realize that Stellan's light IS shining, and giving Glory to God in the midst of all this pain.

I did not find this verse completely appropriate for the MckFamily ~ Isaiah 40:11, NLT

"He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in His arms, holding them close to His heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young."

Stellan, has not consumed all of my thoughts and most of my prayers for the past week.

True Love?

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

These few verses are a true test of rather we love someone with the love of Christ. In our society today it seems like we throw the word love around like the words hello or goodbye. I am more than guilty of this. I grew up in a home where love flowed freely, no one ever doubted their worth to our family. Constant hugs, coming and going, and always being told “I Love You!” This is not a bad thing! I want my children to know that same love, coming and going, nothing hidden, no wondering, or doubt of their worth. I honestly didn’t realize there were families out there that didn’t have that. My sister and I talk all the time about how blessed we are with our family.

Sometimes, however, I think (scratch that, I know) I use those words too loosely. I have been known to accidentally end a phone conversation with a co-worker or client with the words “bye-I-love-you” we usually have a big laugh, and most of them understand. But do those words loose meaning when they fly from our lips so freely? Sometimes, yes...

Does my husband understand how much I am DEEPLY IN LOVE with him just because I say “bye-I-love-you” when I get off the phone or leave the house; or does the revelation of my love for him ring true every day, in the way I act and treat him.

Also, we are not commanded to love only our family or our spouse, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

1 John 13:34-35
A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you MUST love one another. By this all men WILL KNOW that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

It’s soooo easy for me to love my family! However, I find it hard, at times, to love some ‘one anothers’ but the Bible says this is how they will know that I am a disciple of Christ.

Does the lady at the McDonald’s drive-thru know I am a Disciple of Christ? Some days, probably not. What about the checker at Wal-Mart; do I treat her with patience? Am I always kind to my co-workers? These are all ‘one anothers’; people we meet in our every day lives. Am I showing them the love of Christ? Not always.

Now this one is going to be a hard pill for me to swallow....How about my husband? Do I love him with the love of Christ when I pull out my very accurate record of wrongs, every time we have a disagreement? Probably not.

So my prayer today is that our patient, kind, loving, forgiving, Heavenly Father, will help me to understand how much he loves me, and help me to love others with that same love.

How Sweet!

I just got a shout-out from Chickie's blog on her RAOK Friday. I thought I would return the favor. Soooo....everyone hop on over to Chickie's blog and check her out. She's got some really cute things going on over there.

Also, you will notice her blog "I Love You to Pieces" on my side bar under the "Pray For" section. She is there because she and her husband are beginning on their journey as a military family; and we should ALWAYS pray for our Military families. So hop on over to her blog, leave her a comment and let her know you will be praying for them.

Urgent Prayer!!

Stellan out of V-Tach, stayed in a perfect Sinus rythm for about 45 minutes. See MckMama's blog for details. Please continue to pray.
Also, on a side note, still can't get twitter to work on my phone, does anyone know if you have to have a specific phone for this function, I only have a Razor, not an IPhone or what ever the newest thing is these days...

Thanks for the comment Chickie, I do follow MckMama on Twitter, but haven't quite figured it out yet...If anyone knows how to get her tweets to my cell phone please let me know. I don't even know if it's possible, but if it is I would like to know how. I do have a twitter account that I set up yesterday.
Prayers for Stellan

Please friends, pray without ceasing...Baby Stellan is in V-Tach, this is a worse situation than before....But God is still on the throne and he is still Holy and infinate in his wisdom! He does not change, yesterday today and forever, he is the same God that healed Stellan in the womb! Click here for deatils from MckMama's Blog.

Wacky Wednesday

Please continue to pray for Stellan, he is still in SVT. You can go to MckMama's blog for updates on Stellan, or to leave a comment that you are praying.

I think we could all use a little chuckle today and really, this one takes the cake, or should I say Pie (Pizza Pie that is)!!

BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Police arrested a woman suspected of robbing a small variety store in Maine.

Just after noon on Monday, 48-year-old Mary Gorsuch of Biddeford is believed to have entered Paul's Variety on Alfred Street and demanded money from the clerk, claiming she would "blow [the clerk's] head off" if she didn't comply. The clerk gave Gorsuch several hundred dollars, and then watched her walk across the street to a pizza parlor. The clerk called 911, gave police a description of the suspect and told them she had just entered the pizza shop.

Officers found Gorsuch waiting for a pepperoni pizza she had ordered. She was taken into custody and charged with robbery. Despite the suspect's threat, no weapon was located and there were no injuries. It is unclear whether a weapon was shown at anytime during the incident. Gorsuch was already on federal probation for armed robbery of a banking institution in the Bangor area. Police expect that probation will be revoked.

Chicken & Rice Casserole

It IS Tuesday, and in trying to keep with the very short tradition of this blog, I am going to post a Tasty Tuesday!

I almost feel guilty, I feel as if I should only be posting things about Stellan, prayers, scripture to stand on, updates from his mother. It seems like the entire blogging world should stop and stand in prayer and waiting for this precious little baby's healing. Anything else just seems so unimportant right now. I can't explain the way my heart feels when I pray for this child or why someone I have never met should seem so important to me, but for some reason I feel as if these were close friends of mine. I pray in urgency for MckMama unlike I have ever prayed for a "stranger." Her blog has touched me more than I ever thought any written word could. I praise God for bringing her into my life and challenging me to be a better person, and seeking more of who God wants me to be.

With that said; here is today's recipe

6-10 boneless skinless chicken strips
1 cup of rice
1 cup of water
1 stick of butter
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup

In a large baking dish mix all ingredients and then place chicken on top. Bake on 350 for 1 hour. After 30 minutes, stir every 10 minutes until finished.

Update on Stellan

MckMama updated on Stellan again last night. Please continue to pray for this sweet family. Words leave me, but I did think the verse on my side bar was appropriate for today.

I lift up my eyes to the hills -- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV)

Please continue to pray for complete healing for Stellan! God is not surprised by this, he has planned every one of our days since the beginning of time, he knows what he is doing! Please pray, and stand on God's word. His word is truth, he can not lie.

Angie's Prayer for Stellan

I have no regrets, I have never been more sure of my ground, the one I have trusted in, can take care of me to the end. (II Timothy 1:12)

Prayers for Stellan

Another Great Blog I read Bring the Rain has just posted a prayer for Stellan, It included the verses that follow! Please pray in agreement this prayer for Stellan right now! The Bible says that when two or more agree in the name of Jesus he will be with them. I think there are WAY more than 2 in agreement in Jesus name for baby Stellan and his family right now.

Angie's Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I know Your power. You are great like NO other. We will not cower in fear, nor will we let our thoughts consume us. Our Jesus is still the same....He is still the same. We are praying from a place of confidence, and with the belief that you are able. Heal him, Abba. We will give You all the praise...

(Psalm 103)
1 Praise the Lord, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's

(Psalm 41)
1 Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;
the Lord delivers him in times of trouble.
2 The Lord will protect him and preserve his life;
he will bless him in the land
and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.
3 The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed
and restore him from the bed of illness

Pray for Stellan!!

I know most of the people who read my blog also read MckMama's blog. However, if you don't please pray for her very sick 4 month old baby. There are updates on her blog, but in short, he has an enlarged heart with a heart rate of nearly 300 bpm. The doctors have tried almost everything (including stopping his heart and restarting it) so far nothing has worked.

God has given this family a miracle once! Please pray for anohter one. Stellan was diagnosed with several severe heart conditions in the womb and was told he would never live on this earth. When he was bron, a healthy full term baby, they couldn't find anything wrong with his heart. Apparently, this episode was brought on by a breathing treatment he was given when taken to the ER last night for respiratory problems. Please pray for this family and this baby, please pray for complete healing for Stellan, and strength and comfort for his mom and dad.

I have added MckMama to my list of blog under my "Pray For" section if you want to check her site later.

....And that’s why they call it "DOPE" people!

I just love dumb crook news, or just abnormally strange news stories! I also love to e-mail them to my friends with my own commentary. I have decided, since I do love this so much, I would dedicate a day to it on my blog.

I now present to you the first ever "Wacky Wednesday!"

(I am still working on a permanent picture, but for now, the frog will have to do)

The Drug Cover(ed) Letter
A nightclub owner who wrote a letter to police denying that drug use was rife in her club, has lost her license, after cops found that the LETTER ITSELF was covered in cocaine.

Pauline Terry wrote the letter in January, denying that Club Compass in Ramsgate, Kent was a haven for drug taking. A police raid on the venue had found 'huge' traces of various Class A drugs in the bar and toilets, including cocaine, heroin and ecstasy.

A police source said: “It does us a lot of favors when the licensee, in defending her nightclub on drug allegations, sends in a letter covered in cocaine.”

Police licensing officer Nigel Cruttenden said: “When we did a swab in the toilets we found traces of cocaine, heroin and ecstasy at the highest level ever recorded in Thanet. A level of 4 is sufficient for magistrates to order a ‘crack house closure’ and we found 8.3.”

And about Terry's letter, he added: “When I did a swab I found a reading of 1.1 for cocaine INSIDE the envelope.” Terry - who was fined £1,000 for a number of license breaches last month - failed to turn up for the licensing hearing last week, at which Thanet council revoked her license. Police are recommending that the club be closed permanently.

Remeber to pause my music at the bottom before playing this.

Father Will You Come

There's a love, forgetting my failures
There's a hope, that's setting me free
There's a light, defeating my darkness

And there's redemption calling,
And causing all to sing

Father will You come and open up our eyes.
Fill us with your love; renew us with Your life.
Consume us with Your Majesty, consume of with your majesty

There's a peace, that's calming my waters.
There's a joy, that's setting me free.
He's the light defeating my darkness.

Not Me! Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

There is not a mouse in my office at work. I did not meet him Friday afternoon while eating lunch at my desk. Because if I had I would have screamed at the top of my lungs and jumped into my chair! That would have been an absurd thing for an adult to do so it certainly did not happen.

I did not run out of my office and sit in a vacant chair in the showroom area with my feet off the floor until someone returned to the office. You KNOW I did not make someone check under my desk before I would sit back down and also have them set out MSM (many small mousetraps) around the office. I did not sit with my legs pulled up in my chair for the rest of the afternoon; that would have been too ridicilous for words.

I also did not come in this morning, only to realize, that NONE of the mouse traps had trapped my new friend and I am not now sitting, as I type, with my legs pulled up in my chair. I always conduct myself in a professional manner at work, I am never that childish and silly about anything. Not Me!

On a Side Note...Does anyone remember this game!! I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE it when I was growing up. Not sure that I ever played it correctly, but I just liked to make it "trap the mice" I am not sure why it held my attention so well, but I still remember it to this day being my favorite board game.

Aunt Heather Times Two

Holly and Wayne

I am going to be an Aunt (times 2) and no Holly is NOT having twins. My sister Holly and my sister-in-law Casey are both pregnant. My sister is about 7 weeks and my sister-in-law is about 9 weeks. My parents will finally get to be grandparents and my grandparents will be great grandparents and my mother-in-law will get to have a new grandchild too.

My sister's first doctor's appointment was today and they heard a strong heartbeat. I am so happy for them, and completely excited to be an aunt.

There are some mixed emotions there as well. It just brought back some feelings I wasn't expecting. I was depressed all over again remembering the day they told me my baby's heart wasn't beating. All of a sudden it seems like it just happened yesterday. I don't know why and I don't know how to make it go away. I just know that there is going to be a baby in October and I am very happy for THAT! I can't wait to meet my little nieces or nephews or one of each.

Corn Casserole

You will need:

(2) Cans of Cream Corn
(2) Eggs
¼ cup of Flour
½ cup of sugar
½ cup of Milk

(1) stick of butter

Melt stick of butter in the bottom of baking dish (smaller than a 13X9),

While the butter is melting in the oven, mix all other ingredients together in a bowl,
once the butter is melted in the dish, pour corn mixture into the baking dish
The butter will keep it from sticking and some of it will flow on top of the corn mixture
It will rise slightly while baking so make sure there is a small amount of growing room at the top of the baking dish so it doesn’t spill over.

Bake on 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes. It will become slightly firm/jiggly, but shouldn’t still be runny. This is a very tasty side dish to any meal.
