Update...

So I guess I wasn't REALLY back in the post that said I was.  Maci will be 3 years old next month, and as I was scrolling through my blog remembering when I used to have time to post and read blogs, I realized it was before she was born...figure that?!?!  So, here's the scoop in a nut shell...in June I lost my job, which was a blessing, it was a very stressful, wretched job that I loathed going to everyday.  In July I enrolled in a local community college to finish my elementary education degree.  I also was asked by my church to be the coordinator and leader of our KC Krew (Kids Church Krew) those are our 4th 5th and 6th graders that we are training to be church leaders.  They help during our 1st - 4th grade kids church by leading praise and worship, acting in character skits or puppet skits, and learing about media and sound in our media booth.  That has by far been the best adventure of the year, and the bussiest, you know besides being a mom.  I absolutely LOVE those kids, they are amazing and have an awesome heart for Jesus.  I am so glad I get the opportunity to see them becoming the leaders that God has called them to be.  Recently, in the last two weeks I have also been asked by our Children's Coordinator, to be the Coordinator for our eXtreme class which is our 5th and 6th grade class, so I am super excited about that.  I have spent the last several months, seeking God, praying, jumpinmg into new ministries that I feel he has called me to, and feeling completely at peace even with the lack of job and income.  Bill recently accepted a job in Iowa and he will be moving the week after Thanksgiving, without us...we will be moving in with my parents.  Maci is enrolled in pre-school and is LOVING it.  She is learning so much.  It's the same pre-school I attended when I was growing up.  Maci is such a big girl now, and so talkative.  I hate that I have missed updating the blog with stories of her, I am sure one day I will want to remember.  She has an amazing, hilarious personality, and she is my sunshine and I love her SO much. Hopefully I will get a chance to update more often, but for now I leave here with a few new pictures.

I can't leave out my neice Harvest, she is so special to me, and such a sweet sweet girl.  She and Maci have a similar appearance, but they have polar opposite personalities, Harvest is a little reserved and mostly quiet.  She loves to cuddle and watch movies, Maci on the other hand is 100 miles per hour wherever she goes, she doesn't sit still long and doesn't have time to watch a whole movie, she wants you to fast forward to her favorite parts and then she's D.O.N.E. and it's off to something else.  They both love music and love to sing....I just wish they weren't so camera shy, I would post some videos...but as soon as the camera is turned on, they turn off...neither of them will do anything.  It's really kind of funny. They are the best of friends.  I should also mention that Harvest will be a big sister in January...we are so excited to meet baby Eden when she arrives.  I already love her and can't wait to cuddle and hold her...since Maci is more than likely my one and only...I've decided my sister has to share Eden {Wink}...I love my neices.

I wish

I wish tomorrow wasn't Monday...I wish I didn't stress so much about work...I wish I had done the work I brought home this weekend...I wish I didn't have so much to do tomortow.. I wish I wasn't an emotional eater...I wish I hadn't gained 4 pounds last week...I wish I could sleep...I wish Maci WOULD sleep...I wish I felt better...I wish my attitude was better...I WISH with everything in me that my current situation was different...I wish I was home...

Love in Action

"Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35 (NLT)

As Christians, we are called to show others love. Jesus told His disciples, "By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you love one another if you keep on showing love among yourselves" (John 13:35). So many people see love as 'just a feeling,' but it's so much more than that. True love shows itself through action. And this action doesn't have to be impossible and overwhelming. One of the best ways to show the love of Jesus is through simple, everyday action,

- Like giving a small gift to someone or striking up a conversation with a downcast individual who needs a friend.

- Or giving a bag of groceries to the single mom who lives down the street and is struggling to put food on the table.

- Showing love can even be as simple as smiling and saying hello to a person you pass on the street, in the hall, or at the store.

There are many ways to demonstrate the love of Christ. When you show His love to someone else, it can soften that person's heart, and before you know it, they'll be finding ways to reach out and show love to others, and so on and so on. So celebrate God's love and let Him lead you. Is He putting someone on your heart right now? I want my love for Jesus to be reflected in the way I show love for others, even those who may be difficult to love. If I can soften one hard heart with the love of God, maybe that person will soften another's heart with love, then that one will reach out to others, and so on and so on... And soon we'll have a love revolution!

Don't Quit!

I love this devotion by Joyce Meyer ...and I just love Joyce Meyer in general ...

Don't Quit...

I've been a Christian for twenty-three years," Cheryl said. "I'm just not getting anywhere. I'm as weak as I was when I first accepted Christ as my Savior. I still fail. I just don't know if it's worth it." Tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued to talk about her failures. "By now I know all the right things to do, but I don't do them. Sometimes I deliberately do something mean-spirited or unkind. What kind of Christian am I?"

"Probably a growing Christian," I said.

A startled look appeared on Cheryl's face. "Growing? Did you hear--? "

"Yes, I heard. But if you weren't growing, you wouldn't lament your failures. You'd be satisfied about your spiritual level or tell yourself how good you are."

"But I'm so discouraged, and I fail God so many times."

I went on to tell Cheryl she was correct--that she had failed. All of us do at times. If we're not careful, we allow the devil to point to what we haven't accomplished and where we have been weak. When that happens, it's easy to feel bad or want to give up.

That's not the way of the Spirit. No matter how we mess up our lives, God doesn't give up on us. The Spirit constantly nudges us.

We can allow our thoughts to dwell on what we haven't done or how spiritual we ought to be after all these years in our Christian faith. If we focus on what we're not or what we haven't accomplished, we are allowing the devil to make advances on the battlefield of our minds.

"Don't quit. Don't give up." That's the message we need to hear. I think of Isaiah 43:1b-2: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you...; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you."

This is God's promise. He doesn't promise to take us completely out of troubles or hardships, but He does promise to be with us as we go through them. And when God is with us, what is there to worry about?

Urgent Prayer - Sutton

I know I am sort of randomly updating my blog these days, I miss blogging....I have become entirely too busy in my life and hobbies I have enjoyed are getting the boot...for now!!  However, I need to take a few minutes and post an urgent prayer request. My friend Heather, that I have blogged about her twins on several occasions, is in desperate need of our prayers again. This time it’s her 5 year old son, Sutton. He has just been diagnosed this week with a brain tumor, and is going to have surgery in the near future. He is currently at the local children’s hospital and is going to be relocating to their “cancer floor” in the next day or two. Keep in mind they also has an 8 year old son, and twin 14 month old daughters that have to be cared for. We want to pray for healing first and foremost for Sutton, but we need to remember Heather too, her “mama heart” is breaking and there is a lot of fear involved with the word cancer. But we know that our God is a big God and he does big things. Please uplift this sweet family in prayer.  I do  not know why this family has to face so many hardships, I don't know what God is preparing them for, but I do know that God is in control.  I will never understand this side of Heaven why we have to go through so much heartache on this earth, but I know God is stirring my heart right now for hurting families.   A sweet family at my church lost a baby on the 4th of this month.  He lived 41 minutes, and made a lifetime of impression on me.  Just as Heaher's sweet miracle babies that weren't suppose to live, but did.  I don't understand why children get sick, or hurt or get taken from their mother's arms.  I don't understand why God chooses to allow the things he does, but I do know he is in control, he is greater!!  His vision is higher than our vision.  He is Jehova-Roi "The God who sees"  He is Jehova-Rapha "The Lord our Healer"

Our God is greater
Our God is stronger
God you are higher than any other
Our God is HEALER
Awesome in Power
Our God!

MARCH FOR BABIES, TIME RUNNING OUT!!!

I'm very excited to be a part of March for Babies this year. Please help me reach my goal by making a donation to my walk. It's easy and secure - just click HERE to make your donation.

I am walking on team “ E MC2 ” in honor of, my friend the other Heather's premature twins and Twin Twin Transfusion Syndrome survivors, Evelyn and Mary Caroline.

Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. We're walking because we want to do something about this.

The money we raise will support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And it will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.

Please support this important work. You can make a donation with your credit card online, http://www.marchforbabies.org/hkimble1028

Thank you for helping me give all babies a healthy start!
