Not Me! Monday

So off we go....

I did not wear blue jeans to church Sunday morning because I have out grown the comfort of my old dress pants, and have yet to find a pair of maternity dress pants that fit me.

I did not consider turning on the sprinkler in my front yard after dark Saturday night in hopes of keeping neighborhood kids from setting my yard on fire with their fireworks (everything has been so dry lately).

I did not cook boiled cabbage this weekend for the first time ever, it was not really good, and my husband did not love it.

I also did not cook a yummy peach cobbler for dessert Saturday night.

Bill did not put up a queen sized bed (free gift from my sister when they up sized to a King) in the place of our old full sized bed this weekend, only for me to ask my sweet hubby to please take it down today and put our old bed back up. I definitely appreciated the gift, however, the new bed was extremely firm and our old bed is extremely squishy and the newness of the firm bed didn't agree with my back (or hips or shoulders or neck). Not Me!! I would never do such a thing!!

I did not watch every documentary shown about Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson this weekend. I also did not watch 2 hours of MJ videos last night, while my husband was frying fish for our dinner. This was not a completely absurd thing for me to do considering I have never been a huge Michael Jackson, nor Farrah Fawcett fan (that part is true, honestly I am not a fan of either).

I did not go crazy on a jar of Clausen Kosher Dill Pickles this weekend, giving foundation to the rumor about pregnant women and pickles.

I also did not buy TWO boxes of 24 count Popsicles (yes 48 Popsicles) at Kroger last week, because I wanted Popsicles so badly and was sure I would eat both boxes rather quickly, only to eat 3 of them since the day I bought them.

It’s that time again...Not Me! Monday...being brutally honest and living to tell about it.

Bill did not have a toothache in the SAME tooth that he had a root canal on 6 months ago, the SAME tooth that broke and had to be repaired with a post only around 3 months ago. We are not STILL paying for both procedures that totaled over $2,000! He did not call me from the same dentist office to tell me, said tooth, would have to have a 2nd root canal, as the first one "didn’t get all of the nerve.” We most certainly were not asked to see a specialist to have the top of the tooth cut off, and a microscopic camera run down in the tooth to make sure that was indeed the problem. This was not such a completely horrifying absolutely ridiculous unpleasant solution to us that we decided to have the $2,000 tooth yanked out, and thrown in the garbage pulled. I certainly didn’t get so insanely outraged slightly aggravated, at our dentist that I definitely did not refuse to pay the bill for pulling his tooth!

Not Me! Monday ~ Stellan Style

Natalie has given us yet another outlet to let MckMama know exactly how much she and her family are loved and are in our thoughts and prayers with her Not Me! Monday ~ Stellan Style.

I have not told everyone I know about Stellan's story, and then explain why he needs prayer so urgently right now.

I did not keep MckMama's website up on my computer at work all week last week, refreshing like mad to find out anything new she had to say.

I did not update my facebook status constantly to state that I am "praying for stellan" and then give MckMama's blog address for anyone who wants to know about this little miracle.

I did not sign up for a Twitter account, only so I could follow MckMama's updates about Stellan over the weekend on my cell phone while I was away from my computer.

My husband does not think I am insane because I feel like I have such a connection to people I have never met.

I did not sit in an awesome worship service Sunday at church, and cry out for Stellan's healing while worshiping our wonderful Saviour.

I did not see little Stellan's face in my mind as the worship team sang Mighty to Save, the words "Shine you light and let the whole world see, we're singing for the Glory of the Risen King" didn't make me realize that Stellan's light IS shining, and giving Glory to God in the midst of all this pain.

I did not find this verse completely appropriate for the MckFamily ~ Isaiah 40:11, NLT

"He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in His arms, holding them close to His heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young."

Stellan, has not consumed all of my thoughts and most of my prayers for the past week.

There is not a mouse in my office at work. I did not meet him Friday afternoon while eating lunch at my desk. Because if I had I would have screamed at the top of my lungs and jumped into my chair! That would have been an absurd thing for an adult to do so it certainly did not happen.

I did not run out of my office and sit in a vacant chair in the showroom area with my feet off the floor until someone returned to the office. You KNOW I did not make someone check under my desk before I would sit back down and also have them set out MSM (many small mousetraps) around the office. I did not sit with my legs pulled up in my chair for the rest of the afternoon; that would have been too ridicilous for words.

I also did not come in this morning, only to realize, that NONE of the mouse traps had trapped my new friend and I am not now sitting, as I type, with my legs pulled up in my chair. I always conduct myself in a professional manner at work, I am never that childish and silly about anything. Not Me!

On a Side Note...Does anyone remember this game!! I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE it when I was growing up. Not sure that I ever played it correctly, but I just liked to make it "trap the mice" I am not sure why it held my attention so well, but I still remember it to this day being my favorite board game.

I did not have a wonderful Valentine's Date with my husband! I did not eat entirely too much at the restraunt! I did not know that a sugar overload gives me a horrific headache and then did not order a huge brownie-ice cream-whipped cream-chocolate syrupy-dessert and I did not eat almost the entire thing by myself. That is most certainly not why I felt soooo bad Sunday!

I did not kiss these little cheeks a million times Sunday afternoon!

I did not get spring fever this weekend since it was not 70 degrees on Saturday! I most certainly did not use that as an excuse to stay home and do nothing all weekend except for the small break I did not take to go kiss baby Grey on his baby cheeks!

I also did not shamelessly get Kennedy to say "finger" so Bill could hear her say "pinger" instead...and I certainly did not think it was the most precious thing I had ever heard!

I also did not laugh uncontrollably when Kennedy informed us there were 2 boys (grey and daddy) and 2 girls (her and Kylie) in her family! She did not look at me like I had asked the most absurd question in the world when I asked her what Mommy was (boy or girl). She did not answer me in a duh-like tone and simply reply "Mommy." Of Course, what was I thinking!

I have not racked my brain tirlessley to figure a way to include Kylie in this Not Me Session and I have not included a picture of her here just because!

I did not neglect all of my household duties Saturday to go to the woods with my wonderful husband. I did not enjoy every minute of our being alone together with no phones, no interruptions, no people, and no worries. I was not happy that we didn't see a single deer considering we don't have 2 deer already in the cooler at home waiting to be processed.

I did not accidentally leave my make-up in my desk drawer when I left work Friday, and did not seriously think about skipping church Sunday because of this. I sure didn't spend $50 that I didn't have on new "cheap" make-up at Wal-Mart at 9:00PM Saturday, so that I could go to church Sunday morning, without feeling like a troll. Not Me! I am NOT that vain!

I did not skip out on going to the bank, cleaning the house, and paying bill's in order to get a few extra hours of sleep on Saturday before heading to my parents to watch the SEC Championship Game...Go Florida!

I did not eat until I could no longer find any food in my house Sunday and lay around lazily like I had nothing to do...and I most certainly did not polish off an entire bag of Hershey Kisses Peppermint....

I did not take one long look at myself Sunday afternoon thinking wow these jeans used to be baggy, and I did not promise myself I would go on a diet starting first thing Monday Morning...and it's a good thing too because if I promised myself that, then I couldn't go eat Sushi later this week with a friend from work...Good thing I did not do that...Not Me!

I did not spend most of my morning reading every one's Not Me's rather than working!
I did not just look at the clock and realize it is lunch time!
I don't have so much work to do that I can't see straight, since I have not been on vacation all of last week and 1/2 of the week before.

Oh, and I most certainly did not spend my entire 7 days of vacation-bliss sleeping in and not showering until noon. I did NOT waste my vacation like that...Not me!

Ok, I don't know anything about this Mr. Linky stuff and linking back to blogs, so I am sure I haven't done this correctly, however this post comes to you directly because of Mck Mama's Not Me! It's a great stress relief for Monday's....I have been following for a little while, but this will be my first post!
