Favorite Song Friday
It's been a while since I have done a Favorite Song Friday, mainly because Mandye started this last year, and she stopped doing it....I didn't want to "steal" the idea.
I just adore music though, even though I can't carry a tune in a bucket myself. We have recently added this song to our list of worship songs at church, and it is, by far, one of my favorites! Especially
"NO MORE CHAINS HOLDING ME, FROM NOW ON I AM FREE, I'M GONNA SHOUT IT OUT LOUD!!"That just makes you want to...well...shout!! Especially if you have ever been set free from something....and I mean really set free, rather it be drugs, alcohol, depression, anxiety, or whatever you have been going through...the Bible says "He who the Son sets free, is free indeed!!

Favorite Song Friday
It's that time again....Favorite Song Friday, courtesy of Mandye at Flowers Family Fun...However, I don't think she has posted hers for today...
I am really going OLD SCHOOL with these!!
This week I have been listening to Karen Wheaton a lot....I LOVE her...she is so annointed when she sings...It's simply amazing....I couldn't choose just one favorite song, so I put both of them up.
The first video isn't quite in sync with the music, but it's a great song....and the 2nd video...well all I can say is that it was filmed in the 80's (if you can't tell by the clothing, and Make-up)...but the songs are Powerful and Timeless...
Alright boys and girls we're about to GO TO CHURCH!!!
Make sure to pause the music player at the bottom of my blog before playing the videos :o)

Favorite Song Friday
Mandye has not posted her Favorite Song Friday, yet, but I couldn't wait any longer, I am really excited about my song this week...so here is my Favorite song for this Friday.
I remember when this CD first came out! The youth group at our church went to Atlanta Fest for our summer trip. I think it was probably around 1993 or 1994, I can’t really remember what year.
Wore. This. Song. Out.
Every time we would get in the van, it was “Lean On Me”, on repeat, the whole trip! This was the JAM back in the day!

Favorite Song Friday...and a little more
I am not sure if Mandye is doing her Favorite Song Friday today, like she did last week, but I sure didn't want to miss out if she did! Our office is closed for Good Friday and I am not near a computer. (I scheduled this post ahead of time)
It's a little heavy this week....I promise, next week will be all fun and games...upbeat and light hearted....I just wasn't "feeling it" this week...I am in such awe of our wonderful Jesus and how he manages to take someone so broken and fix them in the blink of an eye.
This song has really been on my heart this week. I have had such a hard time the past couple of weeks. It was hard just to hold on. I started to feel like my life was falling apart around me, and there was NOTHING I could do to stop it. I couldn't feel God, I couldn't see Him in anything I was going through, and I was questioning where he was in the middle of all my pain. The closer the days came to May 5th (my due date) the worse the depression and loneliness felt. Sunday night, I sat at my Grandmothers kitchen table, and cried and just laid it all out in front of her and God! There were things I didn't even realize I was feeling that came flooding out of my mouth. It was so raw and so painful. I can't even explain the experience. She talked with me for a while and told me some things the Lord had shown her concerning me, and then she prayed for me... right there at her table! It amazes me how faithful God is....Just like his word says, where 2 or more gathered in his name, he was with us...not at a big church or at an alter in a church service, no pastor around, no choir or worship team! It was just me and Mamaw....and Jesus took the time to show up...right there at her kitchen table!!
I feel so refreshed this week. I haven’t shed another tear since, and I had been crying constantly for weeks. I finally took hold of the fact that God IS always with us, even through the times when I can’t feel him, even when I don’t understand why things happen the way they do, and even when I am so angry inside. God is with us ALWAYS. His plans are not our own and His ways are not our ways. He is still on the throne, He is still holy, and He allows things to happen for an eternal purpose. I may never understand, this side of Heaven, why he had to take my baby from me, but I do know he knows my pain! He gave His son's life, in order for us to live! Why would I not trust a God that would do that for me!!

I was standing in the pour raining
One dark November night
Fighting off the bitter cold
When she caught my eye
Her face was torn and her eyes were filled
And then to my surprise
She pulled out a photograph
And my heart just stopped inside
She said He would have been three today
I miss his smile, I miss his face
What was I supposed to say
But I believe always always
Our Savior never fails
Even when all hope is gone
God knows our pain and His promise remains
He will be with you always
He was living in a broken world dreaming of a home
His heart was barely keeping pace
When I found him all alone
Remembering the way he felt
When his daddy said goodbye
Fighting just to keep the tears
And the anger locked inside
He's barely holding on to faith
But deliverance is on its way
Because I believe always always
Our Savior never fails
Even when all hope is gone
God knows our pain and His promise remains
He will be with you always
Friend I don't know where you are
And I don't know where you've been
Maybe you're fighting for your life
Or just about to throw the towel in
But if you're crying out for mercy
If there's no hope left at all
If you've given everything you've got
And you're still about to fall
Well hold on, hold on, hold on
Because I believe always always
Our Savior never fails
Even when all faith is gone
God knows our pain and His promise remains
Always, Always
He will be with you always
He will be with you always
He will be with you
