This mother....
....was pregnant with twins that were diagnosed with Twin to Twin Transfusion
....was told most babies that have this problem do not survive
.....had 3 choices, abort the smaller twin so the larger might live, leave things “as is” and both would probably die, or have a surgery while pregnant that may not be successful
....chose surgery and life
....was then hospitalized at 24 weeks with early labor
These babies ...
...were given a slim chance of survival
...one showed signs of heart failure in the womb
...were born at 28 weeks
...each weighed only 2 lbs. 5 oz. when born
...were in the NICU
...had feeding tubes
...one had an infection, stopped breathing, and had to be resuscitated
...were not due until April 14, 2010
...ARE 8 weeks old
...ARE beautiful
...ARE ALREADY HOME!!!!!
PRAISE GOD!!! HE IS SO GOOD!!!

How wonderful! This is a story close to my heart. My boys had Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, although it sounds like they had a milder case than what you are describing here. In any case, it was very scary and we were also blessed to bring them home. They are now big, normal 7 month olds. I am so happy for these babies!
